DAY STAY AND SALON IMMUNIZATION CRITERIA-
All dogs visiting PAWZ N KLAWZ , whether for Day Stay or grooming services, must provide proof of the following vaccinations:

DHLPP (DISTEMPER COMBINATION VACCINE FOR DOGS)-
The vaccination for canine distemper is administered in multiple doses. The initial dose is recommended between 6 and 8 weeks of age, followed by a second dose between 10 and 12 weeks, and a third dose between 14 and 16 weeks. Subsequently, booster shots should be given every three years thereafter.

RABIES VACCINATION-
Dogs over 16 weeks old are required to have the rabies vaccination. Puppies younger than this should have received two rounds of the initial puppy vaccines, covering Parvovirus, Hepatitis, and Distemper. Revaccination is necessary every one to three years.

BORDETELLA (CANINE INFECTIOUS RESPIRATORY DISEASE)-
The Bordetella vaccine, also known as the kennel cough vaccine, is recommended by 6 weeks of age and is generally administered annually thereafter.

AS WITH ANYTHING RELATED TO YOUR DOG’S HEALTH, CHECK WITH YOUR VETERINARIAN IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS.

SUGGESTED IMMUNIZATION-
We strongly advise administering an annual influenza vaccination for your dog. While it's not compulsory, this vaccine can potentially save your pet's life. Canine influenza, commonly known as dog flu, is extremely contagious and poses a significant threat to dogs with compromised immune systems.

OBTAINING VACCINE DOCUMENTATION-
You can easily obtain your pet's medical records, including vaccination history, from your veterinarian. Just reach out to them via phone and request a copy to be sent to you either through email or traditional mail. It's wise to keep these records accessible for emergencies as well.

TIMING FOR PRESENTING VACCINATIONS RECORDS-
Kindly ensure you bring your dog's vaccination records upon check-in. Alternatively, you can have your veterinarian send the records or approved documentation to us ahead of your appointment.

VALID EVIDENCE OF VACCINATIONS-
Any evidence of your dog's vaccination must be in the form of a duplicate medical record, invoice, statement from the veterinarian, rabies certificate, or receipt either provided by the owner or sent directly from the dog's veterinarian to our facility. For dogs unable to be vaccinated due to medical reasons, we will retain your veterinarian's letter confirming their status. Additionally, we will keep records confirming current rabies vaccination for a minimum of one year.
